İki Avusturalyalı kardeşden oluşan yaşları 23 olan Jessica Origliasso ve Lisa Origliasso'dan oluşan bi Pop grubudur.

1984 doğumlu Lisa Marie ve Jessica Louise Origliasso adlı ikiz kardeşlerden oluşan Avusturalyalı pop rock grubu The Veronicas, ismini çizgi roman kitabı ‘Veronica’dan esinlenerek koydu. Genç yaşta ajansların dikkatini çeken ikili, bu dönemde ‘Lisa & Jessica’ adı altında üç tane albüm yayınladı. Ayrıca okudukları okulda ‘Oliver!’ adlı müzikalde rol alan kardeşler, 2001 senesinde de “Cybergirls” adlı televizyon dizisiyle ekrana yansıdılar.

Jessica’nın 18 yaşında gitar ile tanışmasıyla ilk bestelerini bu dönemde yazan The Veronicas, hazırladığı parça “Baby It’s Over” ile çevrelerindeki radyolarda yer almayı başardı. 2003 senesinde Bell Hughes Music Group’un başkanı Hayden Bell ile tanışan ikili, Bell’in desteğiyle Excalibur Productions’la anlaşmaya vardı. Hazırladıkları demo kayıtlarında pop rock tarzında bir sounda bürünen grup, kısa sürede kendisine bir prodüksiyon ekibi hazırladı. Yazdıkları şarkıların bazılarını başka sanatçılara devreden ikili, “All About Us” adlı parçayı da Rus ikili t.A.T.u.’nun seslendirmesine izin verdi.

Amerika’da Warner/Sire America ile anlaşan The Veronicas, 2005 senesinin sonuna doğru “The Secret Life Of...” adlı ilk albümünü piyasaya sürdü. Albümün prodüksiyonunda Billy Steinberg, Max Martin, Toby Gab, Don Gilmore ve Chantal Kreviazuk gibi isimlerle çalışan grup, albümüyle Avusturalya listelerinde 2 numaraya yerleşti. Albümden “4ever”, “Everything I’m Not”, “When It All Falls Apart” ve “Leave Me Alone” adlı parçalar single olarak yayınlanırken, “4ever” single’ı Avusturalya listelerinde 2 numara oldu. Grup, Avusturalya AWIA Ödülleri’ne 3 dalda aday gösterildi ve bu ödüllerden “En İyi Pop Çıkışı” ödülüyle evine döndü.

2006 senesinde “The Secret Life Of...” albümünü Amerika’da yayınlayan The Veronicas, albümle birlikte bir de DVD piyasaya sürdü. Aynı sene “The Veronicas: Mtv.com Live” adlı EP’yi yalnızca internet üzerinden satışa sunan grup, bu EP’nin içerisine “Stay” adlı yeni bir parça ekledi. Senenin sonunda “Exposed... The Secret Life Of The Veronicas” adlı albümle sevenlerine DVD’de ulaştıran ikili, albümün içerisine canlı performanslardan kayıtları ulaştırdı.

En son 2007 senesinde internet üzerinden “We’re Not Gonna Take It” adlı parçayı yayınlayan The Veronicas, aynı sene "Hook Me Up" adını verdiği bir albüm yayınladı. Albüme adını veren parçayı ilk single olarka yayımlayan grup, bu single'la listelerde 1 numaraya yerleşti.
